Chief Information Security Officer
Todd Lukens has been a leader in information security for more than 15 years. He’s directed global security teams for Fortune 500 companies and overseen the cyber practice for a variety of consulting firms.
Since 2019, Todd has served as Nationwide’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), leading more than 250 security practitioners within the Information Risk Management organization. His teams provide cyber protection for Nationwide’s 25,000 employees and 2,500 applications on over 50,000 technology assets. Additionally, Todd is responsible for overseeing the compliance, regulatory, business continuity, and crisis management functions associated with technology and cybersecurity.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Lukens served as Chief Information Security Officer for Global Payments Inc., was a Managing Principal for Cigital, and established the Cyber Security, Privacy and IT Risk Group for PwC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems and has his Master of Science in Telecommunication Management—both from Oklahoma State University.
Todd is an active member of the cybersecurity community and serves as a Board Member for a local youth shelter and transitional living not for profit in Columbus and sits on their Finance Committee.
