Scottsdale selects Nationwide as retirement service provider

Columbus, OH - Nationwide’s retirement plans business has successfully transitioned the city of Scottsdale 457(b) deferred compensation plan and retirement health savings plan. Together, these plans serve approximately 2,100 participants with $123 million in retirement assets.1 

“After a competitive search process, the city selected Nationwide for its emphasis on service, comprehensive retirement education and value for plan participants,” said Donna Brown, director of human resources for the city of Scottsdale. “Nationwide has been a great partner during the transition, and we’re excited to continue working closely together to help our employees better prepare for their retirement.”

For the duration of its five-year contract with the city of Scottsdale, Nationwide will provide administrative and recordkeeping services for the plan, along with offering participants localized support and access to leading tools and resources. These include Nationwide’s award-winning participant website2, as well as comprehensive retirement planning services through the Nationwide Retirement Institute®.
