Oren Klachkin

Oren Klachkin is an Associate Vice President and Financial Market Economist at Nationwide. In this role, he is the lead economist providing economic insights and support for the Investment Team.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Oren served as Lead US Economist at Oxford Economics where he forecasted the US economy, wrote data commentaries and topical research reports, and interacted extensively with clients and the media. He also worked as a Global Economist at Citigroup and as an economist at IHS Global Insight (now part of S&P). Oren has been quoted extensively in notable media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Financial Times and Bloomberg.

Oren holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Boston University.
