Nationwide teams up with Columbus Fury for club’s inaugural season

Partnership supports new women’s professional volleyball team

The Columbus Fury, a member club of the new Pro Volleyball Federation, is bringing women’s professional volleyball to central Ohio and Nationwide is joining their team. The Fury and Nationwide have announced an official partnership that includes Nationwide’s sponsorship of the team jerseys as well as designation as the Exclusive Property & Casualty Insurance Partner, and a Financial Services Partner.

The Nationwide N & Eagle will be on front of the Fury jerseys and the company will be recognized as presenting partner of the Fury’s inaugural season. Nationwide will also support the team’s community initiatives.

“The introduction of the Columbus Fury is an exciting addition to Columbus’ sports scene, and Nationwide is happy to be part of this milestone moment for women’s professional volleyball,” said Ramon Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Nationwide. “We’re proud to partner with another hometown team and showcase the talents of these world-class athletes during their inaugural year with the new Pro Volleyball Federation.”

“Carrying the Nationwide brand on our team jersey is an honor,” said Dr. David Paitson, CEO of the Columbus Fury. “To have an alignment with a company of the magnitude of Nationwide immediately elevates the Fury brand. We are proud to be representing them and look forward to working together in this groundbreaking venture.”

Nationwide’s partnership with the Fury marks an expansion of its presence in women’s sports. The Fortune 100 insurance and financial services company has been a sponsor of the National Women’s Soccer League since 2021.

The Columbus Fury plays their inaugural home match at Nationwide Arena on February 21, 2024. For more information about the Fury, visit www.columbusfury.com and @columbusfury on social media.
