Nationwide named to highest level of Diversity Best Practices Inclusion Index
Columbus, OH - Nationwide earned a top 10% spot on the 2020 Diversity Best Practices (DBP) Inclusion Index, which was unveiled earlier this week.
In its fourth year, the DBP Inclusion Index helps organizations understand trends and gaps in demographic representation, creates a road map to drive internal change, and identifies diversity, equity and inclusion solutions to close the gaps.
This year, the DBP Inclusion Index measured data from more than 180 companies, focusing on three key areas:
- Best practices in recruitment, retention and advancement
- Company culture
- Transparency and demographics
A first-year participant in the index, Nationwide is one of only 20 organizations being recognized for superior achievement by receiving higher than an 80 percent score.
“This award is a testament to who we are as Nationwiders and our strong inclusive culture,” said Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Angela Bretz. “We will continue to look for progressive ways to elevate our diverse and inclusive culture, and I’m pleased to see that other companies are doing the same.”
