Nationwide introduces new Chief Compliance Officer

Rae Ann Dankovic will assume the responsibilities of Chief Compliance Officer for Nationwide effective August 1. In this role, Rae Ann will lead Nationwide’s Office of Compliance and Ethics and be responsible for regulatory compliance for our businesses. She will succeed of Sandy Rich, who will retire from Nationwide on October 1.

"Rae Ann brings broad experience leading legal support for Nationwide’s various lines of business, a demonstrated history of building strong partnerships across Nationwide's business portfolio as well as an extensive understanding of our regulatory environment," said Nationwide Chief Legal Officer Mark Howard. 

Since 2011, Dankovic has led the Nationwide Financial’s legal team supporting Nationwide's financial service businesses including life insurance, annuities, retirement plans, corporate solutions and mutual funds, along with their respective products, services, operations, and distribution channels.

Dankovic joined Nationwide in 1993. Prior to leading NF Legal, she led the Allied and Nationwide Agribusiness legal team in Des Moines, Iowa. Over her years at Nationwide, she has also provided legal, regulatory, and legislative support to a variety of Nationwide clients, including P&C claims, underwriting, and regional operations. 

Rae Ann is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Detroit, and she is licensed to practice law in Michigan, Ohio, and Iowa. She has earned her CLU®, ChFC®, CPCU and AIC designations, and she is currently completing her Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) designation. She is actively involved with Habitat for Humanity MidOhio and serves on their Board of Directors.
