Nationwide Foundation donates to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in the wake of Ida

In the wake of Ida, the Nationwide Foundation is making a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to jumpstart assistance for those affected by the storm.

"Part of protecting people, businesses and futures with extraordinary care is giving to our community partners who are on the front lines responding after storms like Ida," said Nationwide CEO Kirt Walker. "While our claims teams stand ready to meet the needs of our customers, the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund helps provide for the most basic of needs in the wake of hurricanes, wildfires and other disasters."

Gifts to American Red Cross Disaster Relief enable the organization to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small by providing food, shelter, emotional support, clean-up kits and other assistance for those in need. People interested in donating to the Red Cross may donate online at www.redcross.org or call 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767)
