Nationwide Announces New Chief Diversity Officer

Angela Bretz to lead Inclusion and Diversity Office

Nationwide, a leading insurance and financial services organization, has named Angela Bretz as its next chief diversity officer. Bretz will oversee the Inclusion and Diversity office, which serves as a critical function of Nationwide’s business, partnering with senior leadership to foster an environment that aligns with the strategic impact and importance of the diversity and inclusion work at the company.

A career Nationwider, Bretz has demonstrated strong leadership and has experience in training and development, strategic planning, project management and claims. Prior to her new role, she served as associate vice president for staff administration in property and casualty. Other past positions include associate vice president for the Midwest Claims Zone and associate vice president for claims strategy.

Bretz’s leadership also extends to the community and the industry. She serves on the steering committee for the United Way of Delaware County-Women’s Leadership Network and the Risk Management and Insurance Board of Advisors at Franklin University. Bretz holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and an MBA from Franklin University.
