Nationwide announces 2025 Wacky Pet Names winners
Ferret Bueller, American Cheese and Wendy’s 4 for $4 each finish first
A pet ferret from Colorado Springs, Colorado, a dog from Charlotte, North Carolina, and a cat from Walker, Michigan captured the crowns for kookiest names in Nationwide’s® Wacky Pet Names campaign. Congratulations to Ferret Bueller, American Cheese, and Wendy’s 4 for $4 for their first place finishes in the exotic pet, dog, and cat name categories, respectively.
Each year, the nation’s pet health insurance leader recognizes the most unique and clever names among its roster of newly enrolled pets. The top 10 wackiest dog, cat and exotic names were put to a public vote that ran April 15-19.
To commemorate their wins, the families of Ferret Bueller, American Cheese, and Wendy’s 4 for $4 will each receive a professional photo shoot with their pet and a Purr & Mutt gift card.
