Nationwide Accepts Prestigious 2018 Catalyst Award

Columbus, OH - Nationwide was honored at Catalyst’s annual Awards Dinner held at the New York Hilton Midtown on March 20, 2018, where the company formally accepted the prestigious 2018 Catalyst Award. For more than 30 years, the Catalyst Award has honored companies for exceptional efforts that advance women in business through innovative recruitment, development and advancement initiatives.

Nationwide’s enterprise-wide initiative, Our Associates’ Success Drives Business Success, has enabled the organization to lift all 34,000 associates, including advancing women and diverse associates. Nationwide’s Board, CEO and senior leaders play an important role through their active support of the initiative and providing associates equal access to the tools and resource that help them grow, thrive and impact the business.

Nationwide participated in a rigorous examination by Catalyst of the company’s recruitment, development and advancement initiatives requiring the company to show proven, measurable results that benefit women across a range of dimensions. This was followed by intensive on-site interviews to hear directly from associates about their experiences at Nationwide as a result of the initiative. Since 1987 Catalyst has recognized 88 initiatives at 82 organizations around the world, whose innovative and pioneering initiatives have proven powerful in making change.
