Home inventories make recovering from loss easier

Nationwide, HomeZada partnering to help Private Client customers keep track of possessions

Dealing with home damage caused by a fire or weather issues is one of the more stressful situations homeowners can deal with. Having a home inventory can help make the process of putting your life back together easier.

A new pilot partnership between Nationwide and HomeZada will make HomeZada’s digital home inventory technology available to Nationwide Private Client customers, at no additional charge. Homeowners can upload photos, estimated values, and important property and asset documents. They can securely access those records either online or through the HomeZada app – anywhere and anytime. For an upgrade fee, users will also be able to upload videos, create reports and access the platform’s other features.

“Many of our Private Client customers have rare artwork, collectibles and other items that mean a lot to them,” said Crissy Seals, Nationwide Private Client’s Director of Risk Solutions. “This HomeZada technology provides our clients peace of mind knowing their valuables are digitally accounted for in a secured, cloud-based environment. That way, if a catastrophic event occurs, our claims team can quickly and easily take care of them.”

“Empowering homeowners to manage, maintain, improve and protect their home and personal property is our primary mission,” said Elizabeth Dodson, co-founder of HomeZada. “We are excited to work with Nationwide because HomeZada also provides value to insurance companies in providing digital relationships that engage clients in a value-added way that cultivates long term relationships.

“This pilot is just the latest example of Nationwide working with insurtechs to provide value to its customers to protect what matters most to them,” said Seals.
