Helen Simonett

Helen Simonett is an experienced personal lines property insurance leader with deep expertise in product pricing, underwriting, and portfolio profitability. In her current role, she has profit and loss responsibility for Nationwide’s personal lines property portfolio and leads teams focused on product development and underwriting strategy.

Before joining Nationwide, Helen held several leadership roles at Travelers in state management and actuarial. Most recently, she led the Midwest state management team, where she developed and executed strategies to restore Property profitability while driving profitable Auto growth. Earlier actuarial roles leveraged her technical and business expertise to develop pricing strategies across multiple products and geographies.

Helen is known for her analytical approach, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership style. She is committed to developing talent, fostering inclusive teams, and using data‑driven insights to inform business decisions. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and mathematics.
