Adroit and Nationwide partner to offer workers’ compensation to mid-size employers

A new partnership between Adroit General Agency and Nationwide will offer workers’ compensation insurance and services to mid-sized employers with high-risk operations. Nationwide has been expanding its presence in the workers’ compensation market, looking for opportunities to collaborate with MGAs that have expertise and innovation in niche segments. Adroit will serve as the managing general agency (MGA) and Nationwide will be the program manager.

Adroit, founded in 2021, specializes in providing workers’ compensation solutions for employers in industries such as construction, energy, recycling, alternative energy, agriculture, and transportation. These sectors are prone to high-severity losses that can result in costly claims. Adroit’s approach combines individual account underwriting with loss control and claims services that aim to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents and injuries.

Marguerite Dixen, founder and CEO of Adroit, said that the partnership with Nationwide will benefit both companies and their clients. “We’re excited about teaming with Nationwide to bring high quality workers’ compensation insurance from an industry leader to our growing clientele across the U.S. It is truly a win-win-win for both our firms as well as for businesses with a history of high-severity exposures.”

Dale Hoppe, Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Programs at Nationwide, echoed Dixen’s enthusiasm. “As Nationwide continues to look for new opportunities to grow in workers comp programs, Adroit’s proven ability to transform the risk profiles of these insureds is a great fit for us. We look forward to bringing a unique and comprehensive workers’ compensation solutions to middle market clients faced with complex exposures.”
