Nationwide Retirement Solutions announced that Roy Bentzen has been named the Institutional Sales Leader for eastern region 401(k) sales $25 million and above, reporting to Rob Bilo, National Sales Director, Institutional Retirement Plans.

Bentzen has 17 years industry experience and joins Nationwide from MassMutual where he served as Managing Director of Institutional Markets, focused on delivering sales for 401(k), 403(b) and defined benefit plans from $25 million to $1 billion in assets. Previously, he served as a DCIO Specialist for Thornburg Investment Management where he provided value-added services to platform partners and advisors. Before that, in a Retirement Consultant role with Allianz Global Investors, Bentzen secured the firm’s first custom target date mandate, consistently increasing sales and retention across his territory.

Bentzen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He holds FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, and 66 securities licenses and is a CRPC and AIF certified.
