PEOPLE magazine has named Nationwide to its 2019 Top 50 Companies that Care list. The magazine published the annual list with Nationwide ranking 34th.

PEOPLE noted that Nationwide “offers maternity concierge services for new parents, including nurses who give much-needed guidance.”

Through Nationwide’s Maternity Assistance Program, associates are assigned a professional nurse who can provide guidance through each trimester of pregnancy. The nurse also provides post-delivery support to parents with the goal of ensuring associates take full advantage of Nationwide’s maternity benefits and resources. In 2018, the program consulted with 98 percent of all pregnant moms through this voluntary program. Last year, Nationwide doubled the number of consecutive days off with full pay from 10 to 20 as part of its Maternity, Parental and Adoption Leave policy.
