Associate Vice President, Corporate Development | Strategic Partnerships
Maureen Westrick is Associate Vice President of Strategic Partnerships within Nationwide’s Office of Strategy & Corporate Development. In this role, Maureen and her team drive strategy and execution for partnerships aimed at supporting business strategies and identifying new sources of value for Nationwide. Maureen oversees the Enablement Team, which is accountable for launching, managing, and driving in-market performance for partnerships. Further, she leads the Operations Teams which encompasses program management, portfolio and partner reporting, compensation, risk, compliance, and governance for key processes.
Previously, Maureen was AVP of Property & Casualty Controllership where she led a high performing team responsible for reporting, compliance, technical research, execution of significant transactions and served as a strategic advisor for all P&C legal entities and segments. Immediately prior to this role, she was the AVP and Corporate Controller responsible for Nationwide’s non-core businesses, benefit plans and the Nationwide Foundation. Maureen worked closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and leadership team to develop and drive the organization strategy for their 325+ associates. In her earlier years at Nationwide, she held various leadership roles with increasing responsibility on the Enterprise Reporting, Accounting Policy and Finance Shared Services Teams.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Maureen was an Audit Manager with Ernst & Young LLP where she dedicated over 7 years to her clients, including SEC, Fortune 100 and several local insurance companies.
Maureen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with minor in Finance from Miami University, is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Certified Property Casualty Underwriter designation. She currently serves on Miami University’s Accounting Advisory Board and The Ohio Society of CPA’s Women’s Initiatives Committee. Maureen has a multitude of hobbies, including fitness, watching and playing sports, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
