John Carter, President and COO of Nationwide Financial, participated in a panel discussion focused on fostering diversity and employee engagement during the Financial Times’ Future of Asset Management Summit. John was joined by UBS Asset Management CEO Suni Harford and President of Asset Management for Northern Trust Corporation Shundrawn Thomas. Money Media’s Mariana Lemann served as moderator. 

In this clip from the discussion, John talks about the Financial Alliance for Racial Equity, which was recently launched by Nationwide with industry partners Morgan Stanley, M Financial Group, NFP and Employee Benefit Research Institute as well as five Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) - Hampton University, Howard University, Virginia State University, Virginia Union University and Winston-Salem State University.
