Anthony Sharett named President and Chief Pet Insurance Officer for Nationwide

Anthony Sharett has been named President and Chief Pet Insurance Officer for Nationwide, the first and largest provider of pet health insurance in the United States. Sharett succeeds Scott Liles who has taken on a new role at Nationwide.

Nationwide pet health insurance plans provide coverage for dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets for medical conditions relating to accidents, illnesses, injuries and wellness care and are available directly to consumers and through employers as a voluntary benefit. Nearly half of all Fortune 500 companies and more than 7,000 companies and associations in the U.S. offer Nationwide pet insurance as a voluntary benefit to employees.

Sharett has held positions in the financial services industry for the last 15 years, most recently as senior vice president of legal services for Nationwide’s emerging businesses, and as interim president of Nationwide Bank. Prior to joining Nationwide, Sharett worked in private practice, representing clients in insurance, financial services and digital industries. He earned his Juris Doctor, Law from The Ohio State University and has served in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations.
